“Don’t fail yourself — 7 things you should be doing to pass 2nd year digital!”
I wanted to speak directly to the audience to give a sense of welcome and understanding. I wanted to show them that we are here to help.
I started with inducing a bit of fear about failing yourself but followed it with positive reinforcement. This will give them a sense of urgency and curiosity to find out how to do their best in the 2nd year and not let themselves down. This headline is tapping into their needs and concerns that come with continuing schooling for all students. It is relevant to them since all 2nd years will have to take and PASS these courses to move on to third year and ideally, graduate.
The headline leaves a curiosity gap and leaves them wondering what they should be doing in order to stay on track and pass. This will entice them to click and read more about what I have to say. Lastly I added the number 7 because of the benefits that I previously spoke about in part A. People are naturally drawn to numbers that are short and structured, especially a student who has a lot on their plate.
